"As I work without any preconceived idea at the start, each painting is an adventure that will take me into unknown territories. Each painting is an expression of conflicting feelings, whether it be the celebration of nature's grandeur, a concern for survival in our disturbed world, or simply the search for an harmonious environment where fantasy and <joie de vivre> can be expressed. It is after a long succession of transformation, often radical, that the painting stops challenging me and that it can be offered to the spectators' sensibilities."
